Welcome Preschool Friends! I have been very happily married for the past 17 years to my husband, Scott. We have 2 amazing kids- our daughter, Logan, is 15, and our son, Shane, is 13. Neptune Beach has been our home for the past 14 years. I currently hold my CDA, Director's Credential, and my VPK Director's Credential. Many years ago I attended UNF focusing in Fine Art. I fell into Preschool life the same way many do, my daughter started Preschool and I stayed to help out. Before I knew it, I was getting paid to play with these amazing kids! I have been teaching Preschool for the past 10 years with children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 5 years. I left the preschool that I had called home for my entire career to direct preschool for Beaches Chapel.
I am so excited to have the opportunity to direct preschool for my church and in our beaches community. I believe that encouraging, supporting, and teaching families and staff HOW to best impact children's early learning years will lead to a love of and a thirst for learning.
I have learned that it truly takes a special kind of person to teach young children. Patience, love, understanding, and a good sense of humor are most definitely required. My teachers are here because they want to be here and because they love teaching young children about the love God has for them. I firmly believe that parents and teachers MUST work together for the greater good of our children. We will work together to raise up these wonderful blessings from the Lord into compassionate, loving, strong, creative, spiritually sound leaders of tomorrow.
May the glory always be His-

Mrs. Kayleigh and Mrs. Terri lead our Terrific Twos class. Our twos tackle potty-training, arts and crafts, playground etiquette, and navigate inter-personal friendships. Being two can be rough, But Mrs. Kayleigh and Mrs. Terri show unparalleled patience and love to all of their students.
Mrs. Jen is the valiant leader of our three year old class! Able to answer 101 questions before lunchtime, Mrs. Jen exudes patience and kindness while still being able to guide her class away from undesirable behaviors. It's a magic combination - Somewhere between learning to be kind to friends, playing in kinetic sand, and exploring the ever changing science center, Jen's threes build a firm foundation, a true understanding of the Lord's love for them.
Assistant and Extended Afternoon Care
Ms. Lani heads up our extended afternoon hour between 5:00 - 6:00pm. What a wonderful job it is to sit and play with your children as we clean up and get ready to go home. Ms. Carole cares for our 2-4 year olds and Ms. Lani cares for our Infant and one year old children that are here for the last hour of the day.
Ms. Amy run our VPK classrooms with their trusty Assistant, Ms. Carole at their side. Both quite different in their teaching styles, you will find both classrooms on task, exceeding expectations, having fun, and making friends. Our VPK curriculum is regulated by State Standards, but it's our teachers that bring the Lord to the children's lives through daily bible stories and devotions that are specifically chosen to lead our children into making kind choices, forming a personal connection with the Lord, and understanding the life of Jesus- that he was a child, just like them, that he loved his parents, just like him, and that he suffered through struggles, just like them.
